Sandy and Lee J. co-authored her memoir that chronicles her struggles to overcome her painful shyness and high functioning anxiety as a child. Her suppression of many of her normal childhood emotions hid a persona deep within her psyche that only emerged after their marriage. Their time in the Air Force, as he became a fighter pilot and she served as an officer’s wife, allowed her to discover her hidden side that she was completely unaware even existed.
